Gimnasia y Tiro

Club de Gimnasia y Tiro is an Argentine football club, based in the city of Salta. The team currently plays in Primera Nacional, the second division of the Argentine football league system.

Gimnasia y Tiro has played four seasons at the highest level of Argentine football. First came in 1979 and 1981 Nacional championships. Gimnasia finished bottom of their group in 1979 and 6th of 7 teams in 1981. The third season was in 1993–94. The fourth season was in 1997–98 when the squad promoted to the Argentine Primera División but after finishing 20th (last) in the Apertura and 17th in the Clausura tournaments respectively, Gimnasia was relegated at the end of the season.

A Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta egy argentin labdarúgóklub, amelynek székhelye Salta városa. A klubot 1902-ben alapították, és a Primera B Nacionalban, az argentin labdarúgás második osztályában játszik.

A Gimnasia y Tiro otthoni mérkőzéseit az Estadio Padre Ernesto Martearena stadionban játssza, amelynek befogadóképessége 20 408 fő. A klub híres piros-fehér csíkos mezéről, és arról, hogy jó eredményeket ért el az argentin kupában.

A Gimnasia y Tiro legnagyobb sikere az 1966-os Copa Argentina megnyerése volt, amikor a döntőben 1-0-ra legyőzték az Estudiantes de La Platát. A klub 1970-ben és 1979-ben is eljutott a döntőbe, de mindkét alkalommal vereséget szenvedett.

A Gimnasia y Tiro többször is szerepelt a Primera Divisiónban, az argentin labdarúgás első osztályában. Legutóbb 2005-ben jutott fel az első osztályba, de egy szezon után kiesett.

A klubnak több neves játékos is volt, köztük Mario Lobo, Sergio Goycochea és Roberto Ayala.
