Club Deportes Castro is a Chilean professional basketball team located in Castro, Chile. The team currently competes in the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol de Chile.
History
Deportes Castro was established in 2003. The team's first coach was Jose Fernandez, who led the team until 2010. The most notable performance were at the Liga Nacional 2011-2012, when they won the title.
A CD Castro egy chilei kosárlabdacsapat, amelynek székhelye Castro városában, a Chiloé-szigeten található. A csapatot 1928-ban alapították, és jelenleg a Liga Nacional de Básquetbol de Chile (Chilei Kosárlabda Nemzeti Liga) első osztályában játszik.
A CD Castro az egyik legsikeresebb csapat a chilei kosárlabdában, három nemzeti bajnoki címmel (1962, 1965 és 2014). A csapat emellett megnyerte a Copa Chile-t (Chilei Kupa) 1971-ben.
A CD Castro hazai mérkőzéseit a 2500 férőhelyes Gimnasio Fiscal de Castro csarnokban játssza. A csapat színei a kék és a fehér.
A CD Castro kiemelkedő játékosai között szerepel Eduardo Fierro, aki a chilei válogatott tagja is volt.
